Everyone's go-to summer outfit is different. Some opt for denim shorts with simple tees; others don white maxi dresses, or floral minis. And then there are those who just can't shake sweats—even in the heat. For Angelina Jolie, none of the above prescribed styles apply. Her modus operandi is elegant and understated, but still packs a punch.
Case in point: The actress and mother of six was spotted in Los Angeles wearing a navy silk long-sleeve maxi dress by Gabriela Hearst, which featured knife pleats on the top and a billowy skirt below. She accessorized the frock with sandals by Valentino, the terra-cotta Triomphe bag by Celine, and, of course, a face mask. Indeed, while most of us would wear the ensemble to a chic soirée in the Hamptons or Orange County, Jolie sported the head-to-toe designer look to an art supply store with her son Knox Jolie-Pitt. Then again, most of us aren't Academy Award winners and one of the highest paid talents in Hollywood.
Still, the 45-year-old star perfectly demonstrates how summer outfits don't always have to be so homely or cutesy. They, too, can be glamorous and sophisticated. And we're totally here for dressing to impress, no matter the occasion.
