A simple but sophisticated Rx for a new mother - Truth In Aging

tokger.blogspot.com

My mailbox is full of requests for regimen help and I answer all of them. I also like to summarize those that could help or inspire other readers. Here’s my Rx for Rose

“I am resetting my skincare routine after my third pregnancy. I am 44 and with three young children, I need to focus on products that are affordable and regimen that is efficient. I need a moisturizing eye cream for crepe, something for sagging (marionette lines are beginning to form), as well as good moisturizer. I am also interested to incorporate sodium hyaluronate and growth factors, as well as any other suggestions to round out my routine. “

What was clear from Rose’s much longer email is that concerned she has sophisticated expectations. While she is focused on great moisturizers for the face and eyes, she’s beginning to see signs of aging and her need for results from a relatively simple regimen is stretching the limits of her previous go-tos.

Combining her need for a moisturizer with curiosity about growth factors, I recommended ReLuma Skin Advanced Facial Moisturizer ($92 in the shop). This is a moisturizing serum (a hybrid that for some people obviates the need for two products) with growth factors and amino acids. There’s nothing token about those growth factors – the concentration is 65% polypeptide enriched media (stem cell human conditioned media).

Sodium hyaluronate would be excellent to incorporate as a night moisturizer. After a spate of rave reviews from our community testers, we have brought in ClarityRx Nourish Your Skin 100% Squalane Moisturizing Oil ($48 in the shop). Don’t put off by the mention of oil; this is super-fast absorbing.

For marionette lines, I highly recommend Skin 2 Skin's Anti-Sagging Renewal Serum ($78 in the shop). It does what it says and people buy it over and over again as the price is very decent given the efficacy. It has recently been reformulated to give instant gratification as well as long-term results.

For an eye serum, Rose likes AQ Skin Solutions Eye Serum ($99 in the shop) and I think you should stick with it. This eye serum has growth factors and is good at smoothing out crepe. The trick is to layer a bit of moisturizer over it. I use LaCreme Beaute 's Hydrating Cucumber Eye Cream ($78 in the shop), but if you wanted to keep to a budget, just dab a little of the ReLuma moisturizer and that will counteract any drying.
