If you are in the mood for fresh seafood done right, then a popular Fairfield County restaurant that receives fresh seafood from New York markets each morning should handle that urge easily.
The Saltwater Bar and Restaurant in South Norwalk is known across the region for its New England-style seafood with an edge.
Their mission is simple, the owner says, "the very best in all that we do...food, service, and location."

YelpFoodies and Yelpers seem to agree and flock to the restaurant that seems vast, but welcoming when you walk in the door.
"This is such a unique and fun restaurant and bar! The service was excellent too," said one Yelper.
Another added: "Just moved to SONO, and found this seafood place which was fantastic. Fish was perfectly cooked, over spinach and mashed potatoes. Well done, happy this place is here."
A glance at reviews, reveals some favorites seem to be the brunch, as well as the fresh fish, the octopus, and the mac & cheese lobster, and the drinks coming quickly out of the bar.

"Saltwater has become my new favorite restaurant in South Norwalk," said a Yelper. "The seafood is the freshest around, and you really can't get better and more humble customer service and any other restaurant in this area."
